Helmet City is proud to announce its sponsorship of the MRO Supersport 600 and MRO Clubman 600 classes within the Bemsee Motorcycle Championship, organised by the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC). This partnership reflects Helmet City’s ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots motorcycle racing and helping riders progress within one of the UK’s most respected club racing championships.
For decades, the British Motorcycle Racing Club - often known as Bemsee - has played a key role in nurturing talented racers and delivering exciting competition across iconic UK circuits. By sponsoring the MRO Supersport 600 and MRO Clubman 600 categories, Helmet City is helping to support competitive middleweight racing and the passionate community that surrounds it.
Supporting Grassroots Motorcycle Racing
Grassroots motorcycle racing is the foundation of the sport in the UK. It provides riders with the opportunity to develop their skills, gain racing experience, and compete in professionally organised championships before progressing to higher levels of competition.
The Bemsee Championship has long been recognised as a stepping stone for many successful riders. Through this sponsorship, Helmet City aims to play an active role in strengthening the racing community and ensuring that club-level motorsport continues to thrive.
As a retailer dedicated to motorcycle safety equipment and riding gear, Helmet City understands the importance of high-quality protection for riders both on the road and on the track. Supporting racing championships such as Bemsee helps promote safe riding practices while encouraging the next generation of racers.

The MRO Supersport 600 Class
The MRO Supersport 600 class features highly competitive middleweight sportbikes, offering some of the closest racing in the championship. Machines such as Yamaha R6s, Kawasaki ZX-6Rs, and Honda CBR600RRs deliver incredible performance while maintaining close parity between competitors.
Riders in this category combine skill, racecraft, and technical precision as they push their machines to the limit around some of the UK’s best circuits. The result is fast-paced, exciting racing that consistently attracts talented competitors and enthusiastic fans.
Helmet City’s sponsorship helps highlight this class and support the riders competing in one of the most thrilling categories within the championship.

The MRO Clubman 600 Class
Alongside the Supersport class, the MRO Clubman 600 category provides a competitive environment for developing riders and experienced club racers alike.
The class is designed to give riders an accessible entry point into 600cc racing while still delivering intense on-track battles. Many racers use the Clubman category as a stepping stone toward higher levels of competition within the championship.
By supporting this class, Helmet City is helping to encourage new racers to enter the sport while maintaining a strong and competitive racing grid.
Looking ahead to an exciting season in 2026
With Helmet City supporting both the MRO Supersport 600 and MRO Clubman 600 classes, the upcoming Bemsee Championship season promises plenty of thrilling racing action.
Fans can expect close battles, impressive rider talent, and exciting competition as racers push their machines to the limit throughout the championship calendar.
Helmet City looks forward to following the progress of the riders, celebrating their achievements, and continuing to support the incredible community that makes motorcycle racing such a unique and exciting sport.
About The British Motorcycle Racing Club
The British Motor Cycle Racing Club (BMCRC), commonly known as “Bemsee”, is the world’s oldest motorcycle racing club and one of the largest in the UK. Founded in 1909, the club was originally based at the historic Brooklands circuit near Weybridge in Surrey. Today, the organisation operates virtually and is run by its two dedicated employees, CEO Mike Dommett and Race Secretary Claire Hodgins.
This rich heritage places the club at the heart of two- and three-wheeled racing in the UK. Over the decades, many racing stars—both past and present—have spent their formative years competing within the BMCRC, developing the skills that helped shape their professional careers.
A key strength of the club is its dedicated community of marshals and officials. Many former racers, along with their family members, friends, and colleagues, continue to support the club by volunteering their time and expertise on race days and throughout the season.
