Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

Helmet City Crash Protection is an optional paid add-on that provides a 50% discount on a replacement helmet if the original helmet is damaged in a riding-related crash. It is not an insurance product and does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. Eligibility

Crash Protection must be purchased at the same time as a full-priced helmet from Helmet City. It applies to one helmet only and is valid for a single replacement claim. It cannot be transferred or used across multiple purchases. Helmets bought on sale, clearance, promotion, or using discount codes are excluded. Crash Protection cannot be added after checkout and is available for UK purchases only.  Crash protection cannot be added retrospectively to a previous purchase. 

3. Coverage Period

Crash Protection is valid for 3 years from the original purchase date. Only one claim may be made per purchase.

4. What Is Covered

Crash Protection provides 50% off a replacement full-priced helmet purchased from Helmet City.  The replacement must be like-for-like where available or a helmet of the same value as the original at the time of purchase. Upgrades to higher-value helmets are not permitted. If the original model is unavailable, a suitable alternative of equal value will be offered.

5. What Is Not Covered

Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage not affecting safety, damage not caused by a riding-related crash, theft, loss, fire, vandalism, sale or discounted helmets, and accessories including visors, intercoms, pads, liners, or fittings.

6. Claims Process

To make a claim, contact [email protected] within the coverage period and provide your order number, clear photos of the damaged helmet, and a completed claim form. Helmet City may reasonably request additional information, including a description of the incident or a police reference number where applicable. The damaged helmet may be required for inspection.

7. Claim Review & Approval

All claims are reviewed fairly and reasonably. Approval is subject to these Terms & Conditions. If approved, a one-time, non-transferable discount code will be issued.

8. Redemption

Crash Protection may be redeemed in-store at selected Helmet City locations only, or online where stated at the time of claim approval. Eligible locations will be confirmed when the claim is approved.

9. Discount Use

The discount provides 50% off the replacement helmet only and applies to full-priced helmets. It cannot be combined with other promotions or offers and has no cash alternative.

10. Refunds & Cancellations

Crash Protection is non-refundable once purchased, unless required by law.

11. Limitation

Helmet City accepts no liability for personal injury, indirect losses, or continued use of a helmet after impact. Customers are responsible for replacing any helmet involved in a crash.

12. Changes to the Scheme

Helmet City reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Crash Protection scheme at any time. Any changes will not affect existing purchases.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Crash Protection is an optional paid service and not an insurance product. Statutory rights are not affected.
